There is an old saying – “A man who doesn’t plan is planning to fail “. Planning is essential because it keeps us prepared and in control of the future.
Family planning on the other hand, enables families to manage the number of people in the house-hold, versus their resources and hance in that way, improve their quality of life.
On September 26th DKT Tanzania joined the rest of the world in commemoration of World Family planning day with a launch of an awareness campaign Dubbed “JIPANGE” which translates to (plan ) in Swahili Slang.
The campaign was launched in Temeke Hospital in collaboration with District Commissioner of Temeke Hon Jokate Mwegelo, former Miss Tanzania who turned into politics becoming one of the most famous politicians in Tanzania, with over 8 million followers on Instagram.
Temeke is the most populated District of Dar Es salaam, with an approximately 2 Million people in 729 Kms Square , among the five districts that make Dar Es salaam population of 5,383,000, hence as one could imagine, birth control is a much needed conversation here.
