Whether we are talking about Batman, Superman, Iron man or Thor, the enchantment around a super hero is based on their ability to save people from bad/dangerous situations. Now, here comes ‘’Mr Bull’’, ready to save Tanzanian people from unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.!
On world condoms day this year (13th February) , DKT Tanzania debuted a six feet three, superhero character that moved across the streets of Tanzania’s biggest city, Dar es salaam which are frequented my male of low to mid income, who are the target market of Bull condoms. The areas visited were; Mbagala Zakiem (social grounds), and Makumbusho bus stand. In these places we engaged the crowd through Q&A sessions on sex, condom water filling competitions and dance. We had 60 winners who received branded Bull condom T-shirts, and we sampled over 1400 condoms, and distributed 200 Bull condoms information flyers. The condom samples and giveaways were handled to crowd by ‘’Mr Bull’’ our superhero figure, who was key in creating ‘’disruption’’ calling for attention on our activities and our brand.
